Kenyan media under scrutiny

The important role of media in society is such that it is considered the fourth arm of government.

Without the media,  society would be totally blind to the things that happen around it.

New innovations, breakthroughs in science and technology life changing decisions by political leaders and even neighbourhood disputes are all covered by the press

But journalism is not all about doom, gloom and overly serious matters

We cover events that bring joy and happiness to society with the same zeal as those that anger society and seek answers from those who are entrusted with our governance

Underlying all this should be an unstinting fidelity to the truth and ethical conduct

So are today’s journalists  ticking all these boxes or have they  fallen short?

On this spotlight podcast, Geoffrey Mungai hosts seasoned journalist Mr. David Makali to speak about this and much more
