Marwa, drug traffickers using hearses

By Vitalis Nyagol

Police in Mombasa and the coastal region have launched a crackdown in anti-narcotics.

Coast Regional Co-ordinator Nelson Marwa says the crackdown has been intensified targeting cartels accused of trafficking drugs.

He said some of the traffickers are employing ominous ways of transporting their illegal cargo my use of hearses to conceal their illicit and illegal trade.

Marwa sounded a stern warning to drug traffickers and criminal gangs terrorizing area residents, even as he assured his commitment in curbing the vices.

Police are in hot pursuit of a lady in Shanzu purported to be behind drug trafficking in the region using hearses.

Marwa says investigations unearthed the change of tact by cartels operating in the Coast, further affirming his commitment clamping down the vice.

He further hit out at the “Wakali Wabaya” gang urging them to seize their operations at the Coastal region or face the full force of the law.
