President directs formation of team to deliver on single revenue collection system

President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed the Commission on Revenue Allocation, the National Treasury, the Council of Governors and the Kenya Revenue Authority to form a multi-agency team that will deliver on a single revenue collection system.

The president says this would eliminate duplication of roles as well as wastage of public resources.

The Head of State spoke when he received a status update on the joint national mapping and national resource project which was tasked with updating Kenya’s geospatial datasets for use across government.

Once complete the resource maps will help improve revenue management as well as provide accurate geographical and cadastral data.
