President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence to Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani and family following the death of his mother, Mama Gumato Yatani.
In the condolence message, President Kenyatta described Mama Gumato Yatani as a matriarch who was a role model, a teacher and a mentor to many.
“Mama Gumato was a strong pillar to her family and a respected member of her community. In this hour of sorrow, I convey my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to her family, relatives and friends,” the President said in his message to the family.
“It is my prayer that the Almighty God will give you the strength and courage to bear the loss,” the President added.
President Kenyatta said Mama Gumato will be fondly remembered as an outstanding and gifted person whose legacy will live on for many generations to come.
