President Kenyatta’s social media accounts suspended

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s social media accounts were Friday temporarily suspended shortly after he tweeted on his resolve to fight corruption.

Uhuru who spoke firmly in his Namibia trip on Thursday night said he will not spare anybody on the war against corruption.

A tweet sent by the Chief Of Staff, Office of the President Nzioka Waita said,

“On account of unauthorized access to the official social media handles of H.E the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, all official social media handles for the President have been temporarily suspended to allow for the necessary remedial measures to be undertaken.”

According to Waita, the tweet on the President’s stand on corruption had generated all manner of reactions.

The only official social media page that will convey information for now on behalf of the president is @StateHouseKenya
