Rebel Wiper party Mps tell Kalonzo future in CORD is bleak

By Eric Biegon

A section of rebel Wiper party MPs are warning CORD co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka that he risks being politically irrelevant if he remains in the opposition.

Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu insists that the former vice president’s future in CORD is bleak even as he cautioned that it was only a matter of time before the wiper leader loses control of the Kamba voting bloc.

Mutambu maintained that Kalonzo and the Akamba have no future in the opposition coalition and as such Jubilee is the only other viable option if the interests of the region are to be taken care of.

The warning came amid endorsement of Senator Lenny Kivuti by nine clans drawn from the Mbeere to gun for Embu gubernatorial position in the forthcoming general election.

The clan elders insist that an existing memorandum of understanding between the Mbeere and the Embu must be honored if the two communities would share power equally.
