Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua was in Laikipia County to mobilize support for their Presidential bid ahead of the August 9’th General Election.
The Mathira MP who was accompanied by National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi toured Kiamariga, Githima, Matuiku, Kinamba, Sopili and Ol-Jabet trading centres to woo residents to vote for DP Ruto saying he is the best suited to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when his term ends.
Gachagua said the Kenya Kwanza government will deal with the perennial water problems and insecurity in the area, if they win the elections.
He expressed concern on the high cost of living saying Kenyans are suffering, promising that it will be one of their priorities in August.

He said Kenya Kwanza will support small traders through the Ksh 50 billion kitty set aside to improve their businesses.
National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi called on the Azimio One Kenya Alliance and its presidential candidate Raila Odinga to accept defeat should they lose the elections.
Muturi said the Kenya Kwanza Government will not encourage a handshake exuding confidence that DP Ruto will win the elections in the first round.
He dismissed Raila’s sentiment that there were plans by Kenya Kwanza to collude with election officials allegedly related to Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula saying the claims were misplaced.
Tomorrow, Gachagua and his UDA brigade are set to campaign in Laikipia East constituency.
