Ruiru Club to host ICEA Lion for a Golf tournament

Ruiru Sports Club will on Saturday host ICEA Lion Group for a golf tournament, teeing off the New Year on a high notch.

The tournament will see one of East Africa’s largest insurers and financial services companies make a return to the par 72 course after a 3 year hiatus.

The tourney, said the Club’s Golf Captain Peter Mwaura is expected to draw over 250 golfers going with the bookings received by Thursday. “It’s a great way to start the year and we have made good arrangements to allow an easy flow of the game with the big numbers,” he said.

This is the first of a series of big corporate sponsorships lined up at the Club for the year.

ICEA said “We have had decades of experience in helping discerning individuals protect and create their wealth. We are looking to deepen this through innovation. Golf is one of our key avenues in our engagement with clients and future customers.”

Ruiru’s top amateur trio of Ben Omondi, Frank Munyua and Chris Andrea, fresh from a number of recent wins, are expected to lead the charge for the top prizes.
