Ruto: My commitment is to eliminate absolute poverty in Kenya

Deputy President William Ruto has said he is committed to fighting poverty in the country, a mission he says he will accomplish with excellence.

According to the DP, his proposed bottom-up economic model is the only one with the ability to uplift the lives of millions of Kenyans at the base of the wealth pyramid.

“By embracing the win-win philosophy, we stand to accommodate everyone and ensure they are empowered economically,” he said.

Speaking during a consultative meeting with Members of County Assembly from Mt Kenya Region, at his Karen Residence Saturday said his opponents are against his political ideology because they do not have an agenda for the country other than to amass power.

“Those who are on the other side, their plans, ideas, and agenda is inferior,” he said.

The DP says he is ready to compete with opponents on what they have to offer the country.

“The challenge in Kenya is not what you are selling to us. The challenge in Kenya is the economy and we have said we have an economic model that will get people from the bottom, up,” He reiterated
