Ruto rubbishes opposition 2017 rigging claims

Deputy President William Ruto has vehemently rubbished allegations by the opposition that the ruling coalition was plotting to rig next year’s presidential elections.

The opposition has in recent days stepped up its criticism of the ruling coalition.

Among other things, the opposition CORD has accused the Jubilee Alliance of a plot to manipulate next year’s presidential poll.

These sentiments have caused Deputy President William Ruto to respond in kind, accusing the opposition of spreading falsehoods.

According to Ruto, the rigging claims by the opposition have no basis and he asserts that the outcome of the August 2017 elections will be above reproach.

Addressing leaders from Kisii and Nyamira Counties who called on him at his Sugoi home in Uasin -Gishu County, the DP further called on Kenyans to embrace one another and shun division.

He rallied the Abagusii community through their political leadership to embrace the newly formed Jubilee party as part of the efforts to unite the country.

Ruto’s rallying call may have perhaps bore instant fruits as leaders in attendance expressed their willingness to be part of the new outfit.
