Sauti Sol announce release of upcoming individual projects

The group’s new album is expected to be released in May 2022.

Popular Kenyan group Sauti Sol have announced several upcoming individual projects set to be released throughout the rest of the year with an expected group album drop set for May 2022.

The new solo projects beginning with the release of Bien’s new single with Rimbui which was released today called “Bald Men Anthem” is part of what the group are calling “Alone-together” whose aim is to showcase the personal strengths and characters of the artists who came together to form Sauti Sol.

In a statement, the group said that “Alone-Together”  would define their next chapter as brothers. “It ties with our natural progression of self-growth, while still being a single unit. The journey is a 4-part musical and visual art series for you and the world with the hope it enlightens you to who we really are; 4 phenomenal parts that make 1 iconic whole. “Alone-Together” is a child of the pandemic. The result of deep reflections that we experienced as individuals and as a group. Leading us to craft the ultimate expansion of our musical and artistic legacies.”

Bien’s release will be followed by “Father Studies” by Fancy Fingers, “Heavy Is The Crown” by Chimano and “Savage Level” by Savara, which will all be released on Exodus Entertainment, Sol Generation and distributed by Ingrooves by December 2021.

The four are currently in the UK for their tour dubbed “The UK Summer Residency” which features five intimate shows performed at the Jazz Cafe, Xoyo, Laylow and the Blues Kitchen Manchester.

The four intend to release a new album as a group in May 2022.
