Sauti Sol/Akothee/Willy Paul Win in Afrimma 2016 Awards

Celebrated Kenyan artists, Akothee,Willy Paul and Sauti Sol have brought the wins back home winning the Best Female Artist Award, Best Gospel Act and Best Group Africa Award respectively at the AFRIMMA 2016 awards.

Golden voiced 4-man group SautiSol and vibrant artiste Akothee have done Kenya proud once more, this time bringing home the gold from the 2016 AFRIMMA Awards.

Sauti Sol won the Best Group accolade. Taking to social media celebrate their win, they thanked fans for their support and asked for more support ahead of the MAMAs.

Akothee, who looked regal in a flowing blue dinner gown, took a picture of her golden trophy and thanked fans for making it happen.

“Thank you my fans, god bless you for making it happen, yes you did it and God confirmed it. Best female artist East Africa. This is not mine; it’s ours be blessed!

The awards, hosted by Nigerian comedian Basketmouth and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey, brought together artists from all over Africa to celebrate African Talent in Dallas, Texas.

This was the third annual edition of the awards with the first one being held back in 2014.
