Scorpion Kings drop new single ahead of album

Rumble in the jungle is an album collaboration with Tresor

The Scorpion Kings, a Deejay duo made up of DJ Maphorisa (of the popular song “Particula”) and Kabza De Small, has teamed up with afro-pop singer Tresor to create a new album titled Rumble in the Jungle which is currently available to pre-order on Apple music and will drop in February 2021.

The album is a 14-track anthemic Amapiano experience that comes with the uplifting, dance-rooted first single “Funu”, that’s available to stream on Apple Music.

Amapiano is a style of house music that emerged in South Africa in 2012. Amapiano is a hybrid of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterized by synths, airy pads and wide basslines. The Scorpion Kings cemented their status as South Africa’s top DJs by fully integrating Amapiano into the mainstream and further spearheading the culture.

On the other hand, Tresor is an afro-pop maverick and entrepreneur. He is also a multi-platinum selling artist and three-time award winner for Best Pop Album at the SAMAs, and his distinct vocal timbre had earned him a legion of fans worldwide.
