A section of Opposition leaders have faulted the recent reshuffle of several Principal Secretaries by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Led by Makueni County Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior, the leaders argue that Principal Secretaries implicated in graft should have been shown the door, instead of being transferred to other ministries.

Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and his immediate former Principal Secretary Nduati have in the recent past not been seeing eye to eye.

Their bone of contention, the controversial award of a tender for the construction of the multi-million shillings Thwake Dam in Makueni County.

Nduati has since been transferred to the Ministry of Industrialization.

On the other hand, Health Cabinet Secretary Dr. Cleopa Mailu has since the revelation of the alleged 5 Billion shillings been sworn enemies.

The two have at loggerheads so much that there strained relationship was blamed for delaying the resolution of the recent Doctors’ strike.

Dr. Muraguri has since been transferred to the Lands ministry in the recent reshuffle that saw 10 Principal Secretaries affected.

For Makueni County Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior while lauding the President for carrying out the reshuffle, says it was wrong for the executive to transfer Principal Secretaries implicated in graft to other ministries.

The government has since declared total war on graft, saying those found culpable will be shown the door.
