Nominated Senator Victor Prengei has died in a road accident at Kioto area in Nakuru County the area police boss Beatrice Kiraguri has confirmed.
According to the police report, the late senator was driving a Prado VX registration number KDA 244A.
The report indicates that the accident occurred at around 9:15 PM at Kioto area, along Ravine – Nakuru road where he lost control of the vehicle and veered of the road.
He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Moi Memorial Hospital for treatment but succumbed to the injuries.
Prengei was a Jubilee nominated senator.
Leaders have taken to twitter to send messages of condolences with nominated Senator Millicent Omanga eulogising late Prengei as a great leader who fought for and protected the rights of the minority communities.
