Gor Mahia captain Harun Shakava has been voted for as FKF Premier league matchday 19 player of the week following his impact at the record Premier league Champions that saw them record back to back victories against Vihiga United and Wazito FC.
The wins stretched K’Ogalo winning run since the top-flight resumed from the 56-day break occasioned by coronavirus pandemic to four games, and cut the deficit to leaders Tusker to six points.

The team handed the armband to the defender two months ago after he made a return from Nkana FC ,after the Harambee Stars defender was dropped from Zambia’s Red Devils.
Earlier this year, defender Shakava was among three players signed by Gor including Brazilian Wilson Silva Fonseca and midfielder Abdul from Burkina Faso.
Shakava who left Gor in 2019 and only featured for the Zambian side for one season parted ways with the South African Nation club after he terminated the contract himself over claims the team failed to complete the payment of his sign-on fees.
The long serving top flight player revealed last month that they are still in the race for the FKF Premier League title and further warned table-toppers Tusker to stop celebrating.
The K’Ogalo captain has insisted despite the Brewers topping the 18-team table, they still have a full second leg to play for in the season and that they will still fight to the end to make sure they clinch a fourth successive title in their history.
“Every season is always different, this season is tough, we are far much behind but I cannot say Tusker have won the league, we still have an entire second leg to play so anything can happen and I hope if we play well, we should not be written off, we can also compete for the title, I don’t see anything difficult for us to compete for the title.” he asserted.
