Shujaa collects 10 points in Singapore

Two wins and a loss in Pool B saw Shujaa qualify for the Main Cup Quarter Finals in Singapore.

However, having finished 2nd in Pool B behind England, Shujaa found themselves coming up against series defending champions South Africa who topped Pool C.

The South Africans took a 17-0 lead heading into the break courtesy of a brace from Siziye Soyiswapi and a Heino Bezuidenhout tries.

Collins Injera pulled a try back for Kenya, but Soyiswapi secured his hatrick to put the game out of Kenya’s reach.

Injera scored his 260th try in the series, as Shujaa were relegated to the 5th place semi final, where they lost 17-7 to New Zealand.

Daniel Sikuta had cancelled out Kurt Baker’s opening try for the Kiwis, but two further tries from Baker and Trael Joass gave the 12 time champions the win.
