The national rugby sevens team, Shujaa will face off with Argentina, Canada, and Ireland in the opening round of the 2022/23 World Rugby Sevens circuit in Hong Kong.
The new season is primed to kick off on November 4-6th with Shujaa out to improve on its performance last season where the team was ranked 12th with 49 points.
Haed coach Damian Mcgrath will be in charge of Shujaa at the beginning of the world circuit for the first time after being appointed towards the end of last season’s campaign.
Shujaa will open their group D campaign against Ireland on Friday November 4th before encounters against Argentina and Canada a day later.
Series champions Australia headline Pool A which also features New Zealand, Samoa and hosts Hong Kong while South Africa are in Pool B with France, Great Britain and Uruguay who debut on the series as a core side.
Fiji are top seeds in Pool C with USA, Spain and Japan completing the pool composition.
After the opening Hong Kong round the second leg will be held in Dubai on December 2nd-3rd.
