Slain city lawyer Robert Chesang laid to rest in emotional sendoff

The late Robert Chesang was laid to rest in his home at Kalabata village, Baringo County in an emotional sendoff.

The funeral attended by hundreds of mourners was held amid questions over his brutal murder.

The slain city lawyer was shot dead on February 17 2019 by armed men at his Lukenya home in Machakos County.

Grief and sorrow filled the air in Kalabata village, Baringo County as hundreds of mourners gathered to pay their last respects.

It was a final journey for slain city lawyer Robert Chesang as his remains were finally laid to rest on Saturday.

Family, friends and relatives led by his brother Daniel Chesang eulogised him as a kind-hearted man full of life, and made calls to have those involved in his murder face the rule of law.

The late’s nuclear family, wife and two children, were not present at the burial.

His wife Pauline Omungala Maisy, a Nyeri-based magistrate and three police officers have already been arrested in connection with the his murder.

The three are expected to take the plea on April 9, 2019.
