Smit produces outstanding performance in KCB Masters Pro-am

South Africa’s Combrinck Smit produced an outstanding performance to win the KCB Karen Masters Pro-am event  at the Par 71 Karen golf course.

The World Number 531 accompanied by amateur players Carol Kiengo, Alice Kariuki and Irene Auma fired 94 points to achieve the feat.

Another South African Teaghan Gauche led his group of three other amateur players to second position with a score of 90.

Teaghan played alongside amateur players Ben Njuguna, Joseph Kagigithe and Harry Mwangi.

Proper action is expected to begin on Thursday where a total of 32 Kenyan professionals will go for the ultimate winner’s prize of Ksh.15 Million.

Kenyan  professionals led by Dismas Indiza, Charan Thethy, Erick Ooko, David Wakhu and CJ Wangai will however face an acid test from 100 foreign players who have all featured in the high profile South Africa’s  Sunshine Tour.

The foreign legion includes Justin Harding, Jack Roos, and Mathew Carvell among others.
