Sportpesa Premier League resumes on Wednesday

The Sportpesa Premier League (SPL) resumes on Wednesday this week after taking a break during the weekend to pave way for the GOtv shield cup.

However as the 20th round of matches resume, five players will be not be part of the fixtures as they face suspension.

Ulinzi Stars will miss the services of defender Cylus Shitote when they face Muhoroni Youth, who was red carded for a deliberate handball in the match against Ushuru FC in the round 19 clash at Afraha Stadium.

Joash Onyango will not feature for Western Stima when they take on Ushuru FC at the Machakos Stdium, after being sent off against Posta Rangers.

Onyango will be joined on the stands by Wilson Obungu after the Bandari skipper was shown a red card in the match against Muhoroni Youth, which rules him out of the game against Sofapaka.

Muhoroni Youth striker Wycliffe Ochomo will sit out two matches after picking his second red card in as many matches when his team played Bandari.

He will miss the next game, against his former team Ulinzi Stars and the derby, against Chemelil Sugar.

Defending champions Gor Mahia will be without defender Harun Shakava when they take on Sony Sugar.

In other matches; Kakamega Homeboyz host Mathare United at the Mumias Complex, City Stars clash with Chemelil Sugar at the Nyayo National Stadium, league leaders Tusker FC take on Thika United and the last match of the day will see Posta Rangers play AFC Leopards.
