Record Kenyan Premier league champions Gor Mahia moved to within a point of League leaders after hammering Talanta FC 3-0 in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League Match at Moi International Sports Centre,Kasarani, Nairobi.

Joshua Onyango, Benson Omalla and John Macharia were on target in the 9th, 19th and 47th minutes respectively to hand Kogallo the crucial win.

The win moved Gor Mahia to third place with 23 points,a point adrift of leaders Tusker Fc and second placed Nzoia Sugar Fc .

The win puts Gor in positive mood ahead of this sunday’s Mashemeji derby against sworn rivals AFC Leopards at Nyayo National stadium.

AFC Leopards warmed up for the fixture by beating  Police FC 1-0 on  Wednesday.Leopards is 7th in the league with 17 points and has won their last two league matches.
