Rabat lit ahead of Wydad Casablanca FIFA club world cup opener against Al Hilal on Saturday evening

African champions Wydad Athletic club opens their 2022 FIFA club world cup on Saturday evening , when they face Asian champions Al Hilal ,from Saudi Arabia in the 1st quarter final at the Prince Moulay Abdalah stadium in Rabat City.
Wydad who enjoys home support are optimistic of their team booking a semi final slot to face European champions Real Madrid of Spain.
The excitement of the Moroccans and thier passion fo football is all-over the country after thronging in numbers for the opening match of the annual tournament, pitting Al Ahly of Egypt, who thrashed Auckland City of Newzealand by 3 unanswered goals in Tangier on 1st February.
Wydad ,the most successful club in Morocco with 22 league titles and 3 CAF champions league cups has been training at the Mohammes 6 stadium for today's big match.
According to Mohammed Khyari the adviser to Moroccan Royal Federation president they anticipate the stadium to be filled to the brim on Saturday evening as Wydad enjoys over 100,000 loyal supporters in the North African nation.
"We expect the stadium to be filled to capacity since Wydad AC has hundreds of thousands of fanatic supporters in and outside Casablanca.

It's the 3rd time that Morocco is playing host to the FIFA club world cup cup ,but Wydad has along and tough route to go before making it to the final this year .
The WAC vs Al Hilal match will kick off at 3 30pm local time equivalent to 6 30 in Nairobi will be followed by the 2nd quarter final pitting 10 times African champions Al Ahly of Egypt squaring it out with North and Central America champions Seattle Sounders FC from USA.
