European champions Real Madrid touched down in Morocco ,Monday night ahead of their semi final clash of the FIFA 2022 Club World Cup against 10  times African Al Ahly of Egypt.

The squad however arrived without many 1st team players who are still nursing injuries and this may jeopardize their chances of playing in this year’s final.

Among the star players who missed the trip of 22 players  to Morocco, is Karim Benzema who is still out on an injury same to goal keeper Thibaut Courtois,Eder Militao,Lucas Vasquez and  Ferland Mendy.

Madrid will face Ahly who finished 2nd runners up in last year’s CAF Champions league  on Wednesday evening  in the 2nd semi final at the Prince Mouley Abdallah in Rabat City of Morocco.

According to sources within the Club Courtois,Benzema and Militao are likely  to feature in the final match should the team advance on Wednesday.

Copa Libertadores champions  Flamengo from Brazil will battle Asian champions Al Hilal in the other semi final with two winners facing of in the final this Saturday for the ultimate prize.

\Morocco is hosting the FIFA Club World Cup for the 3rd time but home fans  who are enthusiastic about game will be disappointed  after reigning African champions Wydad Atheltic club was eliminated by Al Hilal ,  in the quarter final  .
