Real Madrid players celebrate after scoring

Real Madrid  produced  a 2nd half master class performance to thrash Al Ahly of Egypt  4-1, in the last semi final of the  2022 FIFA  Club World  played last evening at the Prince Mouley Abdallah stadium in Rabat City,the Kingdom of Morocco .

The 45,000 sitting capacity stadium was over flowing  forcing many  ticket holders to follow the vwntire action while standing .

Al Ahly  who are Africa's most decorated club started brightly  holding  the European champions until the dying minutes of the 1st half ,when  sloppy defending gifted  Vinicious Junior a chance to shoot from close range to take the lead into half time.

Madrid doubled their lead immediately after re start ,through Federico  Valdeverde  ,before Ahly cutting the deficit from the spot, through Ali Maaloul after Edurado Camavinga caught down  Hassan El Shehata inside the   box .

Carlo Ancelotis  men failed to  expand their lead , after Luka Modric's penalty was saved by Mohammed  Elshanawy.

The spot kick was awarded  after  Vinicius   was fouled by Amri El Soulia  .

Dani Ceballos connected a neat pass from Rodrygo in the 2nd minute of extra time for  a third goal ,before substitute Sergio Arribas  ,  icing  the cake for a 4th goal.

Madrid qualified for the final of the FIFA Club World Cup for 11th time ,while Ahly went out at the simi final for a 3rd in a row  and will now  play Flamengo of Brazil on  Saturday afternoon for  bronze medal.

Los Blancos who are the most successful club  in the history of the tournament ,will return to Prince Mouley Abdallah  stadium on Saturday night against Asian champions Al Hilal, as they  seek  a fith  title. 

It's  the 3rd time that Morocco is hosting the fifa club world cup finals as it  has also placed astrong  bid  to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
