St. Antony Kitale to face St. Peters Mumias in Copa Coca cola finals

Defending champions St. Antony Kitale will face St. Peters Mumias in the finals of the Copa Cocacola under 16 National finals Saturday at Hill school in Eldoret.

Kakamega High School will take on Olbosat in the under 19 finals.

St. Peters Mumias who are the western region reigning  champions qualified for the finals after beating favorites Upper Hill high school 2-1 in the semifinal match played today at  Hill school in Eldoret.

St. Antony Kitale on the other hand beat Riyabu School 5.0 in the other semifinal match.

In the girls competition Moi Girls Nangili trounced defending champions Olympic High School 2.0 to book a place in the finals where they will face Wiyeta who defeated Waa Girls from Eastern 3.1 in the other semifinal.

In other results defending champions Kakamega high enhanced their chances of retaining their title after beating Nairobi’s Dagoreti high 4-3 through post-match penalties after the two teams tied 1.1 in regulation and extra time.

The Western region team will now face Olbosat, who dislodged defending champions St.Antony boys Kitale 2.0, in the finals on Saturday.

In the girls Under 19 soccer competition Kwale will face Bishop Njenga in the finals tomorrow after they eliminated Kobala 3.2 in the semis.

Bishop Njenga beat Nginda girls 2.0 in the second semifinal match. In girls Volleyball defending champions Kwanthanze will play Soweto girls in the finals after they defeated Bishop Sulumeti 3.0 in semis Friday.

Soweto eliminated Cheptil by three straight sets. In the boys competition Kapkenyolei beat Mogonga 3.1 in semis to book a date in the finals against Malava who beat Shimoni in the semis.

Winners of the five day competition will have a chance to carry Kenya’s flag during the East Africa school games set to be held next month in Msanze, Rwanda.
