Stars head coach to rest players ahead of quarter finals

By Kennedy Langat

Harambee Stars Head Coach Bobby Williamson is expected to make nine changes to the team that hammered Uganda Cranes 2-0 and drew 1-1 against Burundi.

This changes are expected when they face Zanzibar in their last group ‘B’ match at the Hawasa stadium, as the 2015 CECAFA senior challenge Cup returns to action Friday afternoon in Ethiopia.

Williamson said that he will rest several players so as to be ready for the quarter finals set to be held on Monday next week.

The Stars who are the defending Champions need to beat the Islanders who has been virtually eliminated from the tournament after losing their first two games in order to qualify for the quarter finals.

In other matches on card this afternoon, South Sudan will take on Malawi while Uganda will face Burundi while Djibouti will lock horns with last edition’s finalist Sudan in the last match of the day.

The semis will be staged on 3rd of next month while the final match takes place two days later.
