Taj Mall notice of demolition issued

The proprietor of Airgate mall formally known as Taj Mall in Embakasi Ramesh Gorasia has until 30th August to demolish the building.

Through a public notice by the multi-sectoral committee on unsafe structures signed by the chairman Moses Nyakiongora, tenants on the said property have until then to vacate it or risk being forcefully removed at the trespassers’ cost.

Earlier Ramesh Gorasia said that he bought 1.75 acres in 1991 and another two acres in 1995 — both from Abuja Ltd.

He however regrets unscrupulous officers at Ardhi House are to blame for issuing documents for building on government land.
