Technical University of Kenya beats Kimathi University 34-28

Technical University of Kenya labored  before humbling Dedan Kimathi University 34-28 goals in an entertaining men’s handball premier league match played at the Nyayo National Stadium outdoor court.

Favorite’s Technical University found themselves on the receiving end after two quick goals from Dedan Kimathi University in the opening minutes.

However TUK regrouped led by Kelvin Gikunju to take a 17-7 lead at the breather.

After resumption both teams exchanged the lead on several occasions before Technical University sealed a narrow 34-28 goals victory.

In another match, St Paul’s University ladies team were awarded a walk over after Technical University of Kenya failed to show up.

Elsewhere, SJAK Broadcast team is the overall winner of the inaugural Sports Journalists Association of Kenya SJAK Sports Day held at the Nairobi Railway club.

The Broadcast team was crowned champions after garnering the most points in the fun games that included soccer, Egg & Spoon race, 100m relay and tug of war.

SJAK Broadcast team was unbeaten in the seven aside football tournament and won the final against KCB 3-1 on post match penalties following a two all draw.

SJAK Online who dominated the races finished second and SJAK Divas (Warembo bila make-up) winners of the Tug of war competition 3rd. Winners were awarded trophies and cash prizes courtesy of sponsors Kenya Commercial Bank and Coca Cola.
