Muslim faithful in Trans Nzoia County want the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to probe area Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims officials for corruption.
They claim the officials have been misappropriating funds meant for the mosque for the personal gains and should be investigated.

They accuse embattled County Supkem chairman Haji Ali Opondo of embezzlement of funds and misuse of power.
Led by Imam Mohammed Makokha, the group has called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and EACC to investigate misappropriation of millions of funds in the Council.
Speaking in Kitale the Muslim leaders accused their Chairman of awarding himself plots and land meant for the Muslim community in the County while also siphoning donor funds from abroad.
They want those involved in the scheme to face the full force of the law.
Muslim Youth leader Mohammed Aden said Police should fasten investigations to ensure all culprits face the law.
The leaders said they have presented evidence on crimes committed by officials and called for comprehensive investigations by detectives.
