TSC releases teachers’ September pay

The teachers’ service commission has released the contentious teachers’ salary for the month of September.

The news comes just before the teachers unions Annual Delegates Conference that takes place on Wednesday 9th December at Kasarani stadium.

The news was well received by Kenya National Union of Teachers KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion, who was happy at the development but hoped TSC will exhibit the same level of goodwill in the negotiation for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement to improve the working conditions of the country’s teachers.

President Uhuru Kenyatta last month asked TSC to release the withheld September salaries after holding talks with the two teachers’ unions at State House, Nairobi.
