TUK beat Administration Police 35-17 in handball league

The Technical University of Kenya registered their third win of the 2019-2020 season by beating Administration Police in one of the six handball league matches played Monday at the Kaloleni grounds in Nairobi.

Ulinzi, MKU Thika and JKUAT were the other teams who registered impressive wins.

Having registered just two wins in their opening four matches, Technical University of Kenya were totally dominant in the first match on Monday as they thrashed their opponents Administration Police 35-17 in the one-sided handball league encounter played at the Kaloleni grounds in Nairobi.

Walter Angwenyi and Ibsen Mabella led TUK to the much-deserved victory with 8 and 6 goals respectively while Lawrence Wafula, Brian Warengai and Polycarp Rakama added to the tally with five goals each.

Administration Police struggled through the encounter and with goals hard to come by, they only managed to find the net 17 times, Dennis Waiswa netting five of those goals and Willis Karanja four.

In the second match of the day MKU Thika battled hard against St Pauls University, and only three goals separated the two sides, MKU winning 34-31.

Caleb Mutua was the MKU’s top scorer with nine goals while Brian Mutunga and Hilary Kawete scored eight goals each.

It was the third win for MKU who started the encounter in position 12 on the table, having played six matches this season.

In the other matches played, JKUAT got the better of University of Nairobi 30-22 goals while Ulinzi defeated Nanyuki 42-24.
