Carl “Flash” Tundo claimed a hat trick of victories as he emerged victorious at the Kajiado Rally with a time of 01.18.56 ahead of Multiple Racing Team’s Manvir Baryan who clocked 01:19:43.
Onkar Rai finished the podium set up with a time of 01:20:35.
With conditions seemingly difficult the clerk of the course Mr Kahumbura cancelled the first stage of the rally due to unsafe conditions and traffic.
That however did not stop the drivers from experiencing the fast paced stages that the county has to offer.
The Lisa farm was the most enjoyable for most of the drivers as it had long straights as well as winding corners that proved to be a good sight for the motorsport fans to see.
Tundo returned to the service park after the first stage with a damaged front left of his Mitsubishi Evo 10 after colliding with a wildebeest whilst driving at almost 200km/h.
He jokingly added that he had “bumped into a moving tree” hence the damage on his car.
The next round of the National Rally Championship takes place in Mombasa next month.
