Police in Kuresoi South are holding two suspects in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old woman in Olenguruone.
Detectives believe the two suspects were among a gang of five who waylaid the woman at Chigamba village.
32-year-old Bernard Korir and 40-year-old Nelson Langat are said to have participated in assaulting and raping the woman before killing her last Saturday.
The two are now in police custody awaiting arraignment in court with detectives preferring murder charges against them.

Police have since launched a manhunt for three of their accomplices. The development coming amid concern over increased criminality in the region.
