Uganda’s youthful Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine has been arrested.
Ugandan police whisked away the musician turned politician in a dramatic move after blocking a procession in support of the MP.
Police had barred Wine from holding a music concert in the Capital Kampala over the weekend.
Heavy police contingent staged a roadblock in wait of Bobi Wine in Busabala where he led a procession to castigate the police for barring him from holding a Music concert in the Capital Kampala.
Police used tear gas canisters on his supporters who tried to block his arrest.
Also arrested are music events organizers Andrew Mukasa and Abbey Musinguzi who are linked to Bobi Wine’s would be music event.
August 2018 Bob Wine was apprehended by police in unclear circumstances on his way to the airport and detained for days before he was released.
Wine claimed torture against him by Ugandan police during the days he was put be hide bars.
Bobi Wine has consistently castigated Museveni’s leadership accusing him of dictatorial style of leadership and the latest action on him by police would trigger mass action.
