Uhuru commissions Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lan’gata

President Uhuru Kenyatta has commissioned the construction of the 7,500 capacity Ulinzi Sports Complex at Lang’ata Barracks in Nairobi County.

The sports facility to be developed on 35 acres of land will host a world-class football pitch and training ground, an Olympic-size swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, and an indoor arena among other ultra-modern facilities

The construction of the complex will galvanize the performances of various sporting teams  of the armed forces in international and national competitions.

The armed forces has various teams competing in national leagues including: Ulinzi football team,which participates in the Kenyan premier league  as well as Volleyball, athletics, boxing and swimming among others.

The construction of the facility will be undertaken by  Chinese construction company  China Wu Yi.
