Uhuru nominates Chair and members of EACC

President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated Philip K. B. Kinusu to be the Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

The President also nominated Dabar Abdi Maalim, Paul Mwaniki Gachoka, Sophia Lepuchirit and Rose Mghoi Mtambo Macharia as members of EACC.

The names of the nominees have been forwarded to the National Assembly for consideration.

Meanwhile, President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence to the family, relatives and friends of the former Head of Civil Service and Secretary to the Cabinet Joserph arap Letting.

Letting, a former career civil servant, passed on this morning at a Nairobi hospital.

In his message, President Kenyatta said Kenya has lost a brilliant, focused and studious leader who was not only dedicated but also patriotic in discharging his duties.

The President said it was because of his commitment to serve Kenyans that after retirement he was appointed as an assistant minister in President Moi’s government.
