The statement says dates for the tours will be communicated at a later date.

The president was this week scheduled to tour Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Busia and Kakamega counties in Western Kenya where he was expected to launch and inspect several projects initiated by the national government in the region.

On Monday, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s planned visit to Tharaka Nithi and Meru Counties was cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances.

Last week, the President and his deputy were in the larger Gusii region where they commissioned several projects and addressed rallies urging the locals to re-elect them on August 8th.
