Ukambani governors snub Kalonzo’s meeting

The political turbulence in ukambani region appeared to deepen after all governors from the region, snubbed a meeting convened by wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka seeking to unite the regions leaders.

Kalonzo hitting out at the trio, defended his development track record, and dismissed claims he was inciting MCA’s to frustrate the governors.

Kamba political leaders and supporters of Wiper party convened in Tala Machakos County to affirm their position and support for wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

The three governors namely Charity Ngilu, Alfred Mutua and Kivutha Kibwana were visibly absent at the meeting in which Kalonzo extended to them an olive branch even as he defended his development record in the region.

Other leaders at the meeting pushed for the regions unity to have fighting chance in national politics.

As the sun set ending what they dubbed as Komarock 2 declarations the message from the meeting was that Kalonzo Musyoka still remains the defacto political kingpin of the region and the three governors were attempting to blame the wiper leader for their woes.

Kalonzo Musyoka said he joined President Uhuru Kenyatta to support fight against corruption.

Further he committed to seek the top seat even as he remained open to negotiations with like-minded parties.

The meeting also resolved to shelve political campaigns and focus on service delivery.
