Ukambani is shifting rapidly to Kenya Kwanza, Mutua says

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua Mutua has said that the Ukambani region is rapidly shifting its support to Kenya Kwanza.

Mutua spoke Wednesday after he led the Ukambani Kenya Kwanza team in rallies in the towns of Mwala, Kivandini, Kithimani and Matuu.

During the rally, the outing Machakos Governor said that he was overwhelmed by the support towards William Ruto and Kenya Kwanza.

“Ukambani is shifting rapidly to Kenya Kwanza. We are on the right track to liberating Kenya from the current economic hardship,” the Governor noted.

While addressing the residents, Mutua shared the differences between Deputy President William Ruto, Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate and their competitors.

“We have a plan, they have traditional planless politics. We care about the cost of living – they are comfortable with where Kenya is,” he said.

“We agreed that Kenyans do not want handouts, they want a hand up – opportunities and jobs. They want money in the pocket,” he added.

Governor Mutua said that the Ukambani region want an economic plan that starts with the common person at the bottom of the economic ladder and the leadership of William Ruto.

Mutua is set to continue with his rallies Thursday in Kangundo, Kivaani, Kakuyuni and Kawethei towns.
