Ulinzi Stars Football Club has confirmed their participation in this year’s FKF Cup competition, which was initially referred to as GOtv Shield, according to club chairman LT. Col Erick Oloo.
The tournament presents the chance for a team to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederations Cup competition, next year.
Col Oloo said, this will be key among the team’s that are not performing well in the ongoing Kenya Premier League matches.
In 2016, Ulinzi Stars qualified to the final of the competition and was eliminated by Tusker by a solitary goal.
The tournament is set to kick off on May 18th and the final will be staged on October 20th, on Mashujaa Day.
AFC Leopards are the defending champions of the FKF Cup after beating Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 at Kasarani under tactician Robert Matano, to pocket two million shillings prize money.
