With the under 17 Africa Cup of Nations just months away, the recruitment process of players by FKF from across the country is in top gear as hundreds of talented youths fight for the available slots.
In Mombasa, the assessment of players kicked off over the weekend with players from Kwale, Malindi, Kaloleni and Taita Taveta showcasing their capability under coach Rajab Babu.
Coast FKF, branch chairman Gabriel Mgendi says the list of potential players will be submitted to the head office once the exercise is concluded across all the branches.
Mugendi believes the assessment process will grant talented players from all the counties an equal opportunity to play for the national team as the country targets a place at Madagascar 2017.
The coach has been assigned the responsibility to oversee the process by scouting for players at the branch level who will be considered at the national level with the best forming a national side that will play in the under-17, AFCON qualifiers.
