Vivo woes youthful customers with AI-ready camera on Y20 smartphone

Smartphone maker, Vivo is set to unveil its latest Y-series phone in Kenya after successful sales of previous mid-range devices in the market.

The firm says the upcoming Y20 phone will be a new addition to the youth-oriented and affordable Y-series.

According to the Chinese smartphone maker, the Vivo Y20 will be equipped with an Artificial Intelligence Triple camera which supports, bokeh (blur produced in out-of-focus parts of the image), and other advanced selfie features to play around with for effortless photography.

The Y20 also comes with a aside fingerprint scanner, 5000mAh battery supported by power-saving technology which at a single full charge can last up to 16 hours of online HD movie streaming, or 11 hours of resource-intensive gaming.

The device also boasts a 6.51-inch Halo Display with an elongated aspect ratio of 20:9 and HD+ (1600 x 720) resolution that ensures crystal clear visuals and detailing for immersive viewing and gaming experience.

The modern scanner on the side is built to complement the design and allow hassle-free unlocking taking only 0.22 seconds to unlock, this is complimentary to the facial unlock feature.

The firm banks on youthful consumers keen on producing high quality photography with limited skills with its dynamic camera features and long-lasting battery life and sleek design.

With the pricing still discrete, the Y20 comes in blue and blue-black colours.

Vivo Smartphone expects to unveil the new model in Kenya early Octobers.
