Former Devolution cabinet secretary Ann Waiguru has officially declared her candidature for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat in the 2017 General Election.

The former powerful Cabinet Secretary announced her candidature during a public rally at Kerugoya town a day after she was handed over gold membership by the TNA party.

Waiguru said that she’s better suited to lead Kirinyaga County pointing that she managed to steer the implementation of devolution in all 47 counties.

Waiguru who declared her candidature a day after she was registered as TNA member and handed over gold membership by the party revealed that when elected she will concentrate in service delivery and urged the residents to support her.

She accused Kirinyaga county boss of running down the County lamenting that the Kerugoya referral hospital is in total mess as patients are forced to go with their own blankets and beddings since the county hospital has no linen to cater for the inpatients.

She was endorsed by Kirinyaga woman representative aspirant Wangui Ngirichi and Ndia parliamentary seat aspirant John Mithamo who termed her as the best person to bring development in the County.
