Wajir governor pledges quality education for all county residents

Wajir Governor Ahmed Ali Mukhtar graced this year’s Habaswein Sub-County Education Day, in a colourful event held at Habaswein Primary grounds.
The theme for the event was “Sustainable education for the normad child” which seeks to achieve the right to basic education by adopting policies and resources in the provision of quality education since it is the premise of progress for every society.
The County Chief says his administration is committed to ensuring quality service is available for the people.
During the event, top-performing schools and students in last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary education in Wajir South were awarded.
“My Government will make an increment of the bursary kitty from Kshs. 60 million to  Kshs.100 million thus will give Priority to students that wish to undertake teacher training courses.” H.E Ahmed Ali Mukhtar.
In attendance were; Senator Wajir County Hon. Dr. Abdullahi Ali who was the chief guest, Host Mp, Hon. Dr. Omaar, Wajir West MP, Hon. Ahmed Kolosh, Nominated MP, Hon. Nasri Sahal, MCAs, and other senior County officials.
