Wanga rubbishes opinion polls ranking DP Ruto most popular

Homa Bay Woman representative Glady’s Wanga has rubbished the recent opinion poll results that ranked Deputy President William Ruto most preferred candidate in the forthcoming Presidential elections.

Dismissing the polls Wanga said that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) was yet to unveil their presidential candidate.

Wanga, while speaking in Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County during a funds drive said the ODM party leader should not be pitted against the Deputy President William Ruto in the presidential contest since he has not declared his interest in the race.

The Woman Representative who doubles as the ODM party chairperson for Homa Bay County said they will not be moved by such pedestrian polls.

Wanga added that the polls were meant to sway Kenyans to move towards a pre-determined political trajectory.

A recent opinion poll released by the institute of research and Survey had placed the opposition chief at 51 per cent slightly above his main rival William Ruto at 45 per cent.

Elsewhere, ANC leaders in Kakamega County have vowed to continue rallying behind Musalia Mudavadi as they push for OKA to name their flag bearer.

Speaking in Ileho  Shinyalu during  a rally the leaded led by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, Lurambi MP Titus Khamala and Butere counterpart Tindi Mwale said the move by OKA to delay to announce the presidential candidate is giving their supporters  a hard  time on their decision.

Malala dismissed the recent opinion poll by TIFA over presidential candidates placing Mudavadi as the third in the race
