France based right attacker Esther Wangeci will not link up with the national women’s volleyball team currently training for the 2016 Rio Olympic qualifiers slated for 9th -17th February in Cameroon.
Wangeci was dropped following a unanimous decision by the technical bench.
Coach Japheth Munala said they have a number of talented players in camp who can play in that position among them Lydia Maiyo, Violet Makuto, Loise Tarus and Gaudencia Makokha.
Meanwhile, Munala revealed that France based duo setter Jane Wacu and Everlyne Makuto are expected to arrive in the country on 1st February while Finland based left attacker Mercy Moim will fly direct to Cameroon.
Kenya will be chasing the lone ticket to the 2016 Rio Olympic games after last featuring in the games in 2004 in Athens, Greece.
