“Look Both Ways” starring Lili Reinhart will be Kahiu’s film big film since “Rafiki.”

Netflix has finally released a trailer for the film Look Both Ways directed by Kenyan Wanuri Kahiu. The film is set to premiere worldwide on August 17th.

Starring Riverdale‘s Lili Reinhart follows Natalie (Reinhart), a young woman whose life diverges into two different paths on the night of her college graduation. In one life, she becomes pregnant and must navigate motherhood as a young adult in her hometown and in the other, she moves to LA to pursue her career. In both journeys, Natalie experiences life-changing love, pursues her dream career as an artist, and rediscovers herself.

The film will be Wanuri Kahiu’s first big-name international film since Rafiki premiered at Cannes in 2019 to international acclaim. The LGBTQIA film was banned in Kenya upon its release but was later allowed a court-mandated limited theatre run so as to qualify for the Oscars.

Look Both Ways also stars Danny Ramirez, David Corenswet, Aisha Dee, Andrea Savage, Luke Wilson and Nia Long.
