Wazito FC held to goalless draw by Chemelil Sugar

The relegation bound Wazito FC was held to a goalless draw by Chemelil Sugar in a League match played at the Machakos County Stadium.

With seven matches until the 2018 KPL season comes to an end, both teams have only managed to record six wins having played 27 matches so far.

Up next is a look at the standings after Round of 26 matches’ last weekend.

Meanwhile, 2009 Kenya Premier League champions Sofapaka will be out to close the gap between them and 2nd placed Bandari FC and AFC Leopards when they face League leaders Gor Mahia Tuesday at the Kinoru Stadium.

Sofapaka sits 4th on the log on 44 points, four behind Bandari FC and AFC Leopards who are level on 48 points in 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

Batoto Ba Mungu will however have a hard task, coming up against a wounded Gor Mahia side that recently saw their hopes of qualifying for the CAF Confederations Cup Quarter Finals dimmed, after losing 2-1 to Rayon Sports of Rwanda.

Domestically, K’Ogallo led the Kenya Premier League table on 65 points, 17 points ahead of Bandari and Ingwe, having played one less match.

With less than 8 matches to go, the Green Army will be keen to extend their lead on their way to a record 17thKPL title.
