Western Stima signs seven new players

Western Stima has strengthened its squad by signing seven new players ahead of the 2016 Sportpesa Premier League season which kicks off on the 13th of next month.

The power men have brought on board Ugandan striker Luis Silva Ochaya as well as Valen Mahero from Nzoia United.

Others who have been signed by Coach Henry Omino include: Palos duo of Bernard Ochieng and Kennedy Mugambi, Francis Ocholla, Brian Arasa and Billy Omondi.

Stima finished 11th last year with 35 points same as Thika United and Sony Sugar.

Meanwhile, Burundian defender Karim Nizigiyimana and Uganda Cranes utility player Godfrey Walusimbi are set to travel to Sudan to join Gor Mahia in their preseason training.

The fifteen time Kenyan champions are expected to face Al Hilal in a high profile friendly match later today before locking horns with Al Khartoum in their second encounter.

The pair was part of the key players who missed their first friendly match against St. Georges of Ethiopia on Friday where Gor Mahia 5-4 on penalties.
